Een klant van mijn werkgever bracht een laptop die niet meer aan ging. In deze Terra Laptop was een driver mosfet doorgebrand. Het verzoek was om een nieuwe USB-C poort te plaatsen. Echter, de defecte connector had ook sluiting in de controller veroorzaakt. Die sluiting werd zo heet dat het bord ook beschadigd raakte. I got a bare Minime MSX PCB as a gift. That was an invitation to build Sylvester, the brother of Tweety. Today I added -12V and 12V to the board by tapping it from the ATX connector. Some generic cheap low melt solder from ali express genuine Amtech 559. Flows well. Stays liquid long. No hot air needed.

We just got a nice camera on the microscope at my job. About time to film some MSX soldering with it. Still a lot to learn about this camera and its many options, but this already looks good enough for now I think. All music supporting this video has been tracked on a real MSX using this MIDI-PAC2 to transfer the audiodata to my synthesizers.

The controller was burnt and took out part of the board. A new chip was placed after burnt away pads were replaced. The new chip was pre-balled.

@@MeitsMSX I'm sorry, I don't know how to articulate my question (plus, English is not my native language), but what I mean is how did you compose it? Was it a MIDI file with notes already arranged in an arpeggio form? Or did you apply an effect to make it sound like an arpeggio? I ask because I want to do something similar for one of my songs but I don't know how to do it.
@@JohnDetecter Ah, I understand. When I make music, every note is started and ended by me. Nothing is automated or taken from someone else. I use an old computer from the 80s that can translate my bare notes to midi data which I connect to any of my synthesizers. That's being sampled as WAV files. The WAV files are being mixed together together.
